Invisible Children

Celebrity Pete Wentz, vocalist and bassist of Fall Out Boy has been working with Invisible Children a non-profit organization their core purpose being abolition of slavery amidst children across the world, with concentration on Northern Uganda. They have been working on the idea of encouraging people to empower themselves without external interference plus also puts emphasis on education for these deprived kids. And they have an ongoing battle with Joseph Kony, the self-styled commander of the Lord’s Resistance Army who has been abducting young kids and engaging them in guerilla warfare. The Displace Me and the newer Rescue programme are essentially to help these children, encouraging them to move over to the cities, to avoid being abducted by Kony and then funding them through to schools with funds raised from schools in Orange County.These are directly transferred to the schools of  these children so middlemen are totally avoided and since a lot of youngsters are involved a sense of ownership has also been established.
